Study Groups
Havurot (singular: havurah), informal Jewish friendship groups, enjoy using Project Zug courses as the basis for their regular gatherings. If your havurah is looking to engage in meaningful Jewish text study together, you can choose a Project Zug course and provide all group members access to the printable materials. Your group will designate a member as the primary point of contact who will collaborate with the Project Zug Director ([email protected]) to tailor a learning experience that fits your group’s interests.
Hadar Community Groups is a new initiative at Hadar, which provides funding to Jewish groups of 8 or more members who meet 8 or more times to engage in Torah (learning), Avodah (prayer, song) or Hesed (justice and community care). Many HCG's enjoy using Project Zug to engage in regular text study together. The printable and engaging study sheets with discussion questions make it possible to have rich and generative conversations. HCG's can use their grant money to cover the cost of a Project Zug course or subscription or whatever else they might need for their gatherings.
By partnering with Project Zug, havurot and Hadar Community Groups can:
- Strengthen relationships among members
- Engage directly with primary Jewish texts in community
- Explore new ideas and perspectives with Hadar faculty
