Jewish Groups on Campus
Formal and informal Jewish groups on campus use Project Zug to integrate regular Jewish learning into college life. Whether it's a Hillel or an independent group of Jewish students looking to engage in Jewish text study, Project Zug's substantive and flexible courses are an excellent resource. Courses may be facilitated by a Hillel rabbi or educator, a Jewish professor, or studied independently by paired students or a group.
You will designate someone as the primary point of contact (Project Zug Admin) who will collaborate with the Project Zug Director ([email protected]) to tailor a learning program that fits students’ needs and interests. Start be filling out this interest form!
Partner Spotlight
An independent group of Jewish students at Yale use their an annual Project Zug subscription funded by the Slifka Center so they can study whichever course interests them and always have another to look forward to. They gather every week to discuss the texts and explore their meaning and relevance in the world today. Meanwhile, MIT Hillel used Project Zug to connect Hillel staff to each other and Jewish tradition. At each staff meeting, a staff member would volunteer to share something they recently learned with their havruta. The learning through Project Zug not only rooted Hillel professionals in Jewish tradition, but also strengthened their relationships with each other.
