Rabbi Michael Marmur

Rabbi Dr. Michael Marmur is the Vice-President for Academic Affairs of the Hebrew Union College—Jewish Institute of Religion. Based in Jerusalem, he works with colleagues on each of the College-Institute's four campuses. Born and raised in Britain, he has degrees from the University of Oxford and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. His doctoral work is on the thought of Abraham Joshua Heschel. In 1992, he was ordained after completing his studies in the Rabbinic Program of HUC-JIR. He is married to Sarah Bernstein, and has three children.
